Living the Farm Life

Samuel's cousins came to stay the night with Granna and Papa. Saturday morning the kids came down to the farm. We all took Samuel on his first Ranger ride. The kids were excited to get to show their cousin the farm. There will be lots of teaching from these three in the years to come.

While we were out the feed truck came to fill up. So we watched and learned how the feed is stored on the farm. Then off to check out the new chicken coop. Still a work in progress. But the kids enjoyed making sure everything was up to par. And then they worked on their hammering skills.

No girl left behind on the farm. Jayne Elizabeth knows how to hang with the boys.

We are missing Clay around the farm the last several days, but I am eagerly awaiting Thursday when Samuel and I are flying to Florida. I am nervous about taking him on the flight by myself. I am nervous I will forget important things or won't be able to fit everything I still need into just his diaper bag, but my excitement for him to get to meet his Florida aunts, uncles, cousins and friends out ways my nervousness. And he is such a great little boy he probably won't even know he was on a plane.

Look who's 2 months old!

I love this little face! I can't believe he is two months old already. His little feet seem to be what everyone loves, they are adorable. I snapped pictures for about 15 minutes and the last picture is the closest I got to a smile. Once I had capped the lens and put the camera away this little man gave the biggest smile yet. We are getting to know each other much better now. He has taken a bottle once and did very well! This will be my last month home with him full time, I have to go back to work the middle of May :( The first week or two I was ready, I could not figure out his crying and fussing, but now we got it, and I love being with him. God has truly blessed me with an awesome gift. Plus he sleeps in four hour stretches through the night, what Mommy could complain about that!

We have a GARDEN!

Fritz is finally starting to warm up to Samuel, even using him to rest his head.

Trying to get a picture of my little man smiling...I am just not quick enough!
It is Spring! And we have a garden. This will be the year for my watermelon I can just feel it. The other day Clay, Taylor, Samuel and I went to Cold Springs and picked up some vegetables to plant, then the Co-Op for some seeds and home to the garden. Samuel helped with the plan (haha) and then we got to work. He enjoyed sitting in the shade while we all worked in the hot sun. But it will be nice when everything is ready for picking.

Sam's first Easter : )

I love Robin Eggs at Easter! Lina, Toya , and I used to do this with ours!

Samuel after his first Easter Egg Hunt. The J Crew collected these for him!

This was my Easter Sunday dessert. Cupcakes baked in eggshells! It was super fun to make. And I loved dying eggs. They kinda exploded. Next time will be better. Maybe Dino eggs for two special boys birthday?
The Easter Bunny thought Clay and I deserved  an Easter basket for Sam! We agreed ; )

This Easter was super special because I got to spend it with Samuel. We had a great time. The Saturday before Easter we went to his first Easter egg hunt with Johnathan, Joseph and Jayne Elizabeth. Each of them were equally excited to get to hunt eggs for "Baby Sam". Then the next weekend I got to spend time in the kitchen baking, which made me smile. I miss making treats for others to enjoy. Followed by Sunday at church with the whole family. Samuel was excellent. He slept except to eat. Granna said there was one song while she was holding him that made his little nose squint but otherwise he rested great through all the singing and praise. HE IS RISEN!
